How do I set up a quiz for a session?

Click on “Set Quiz” to create a quiz or quizzes for your event. Below are the fields located on the Quiz builder page and some important information.
Important Information:

• Please note that after the quiz has been created the quiz will need to be associated with the session for the attendees to view this. Follow the steps outlined in How to set up a session under the Assigned Quiz (if any) section.

Quiz Name
This is a required field.

• It is critical that the quiz has the same title as its associated session. This is how it will show in the Help Center of your event and, if not matching the session title, will cause confusion with attendees and in your reporting.

Passing Score

• This is a required field.
• This field determines the score that the attendee must reach in order to receive credit for passing the quiz. This must be a number and should be in a decimal format. For example: If the passing score is expected to be 70% this should show 0.7. If the passing score is expected to be 85% this should show 0.85.

Session Minutes

• This is not a required field. If it is left blank it will default to 0.
• This will set a requirement for how long the attendee must view the session before they will be permitted to pass the quiz. If they do not view the video for long enough, the system will let them know that to get credit, they need to both watch the video and pass the quiz.

Credit hours

• This is not a required field. If it is left blank it will default to 0.
• This will set how many credit hours will be awarded for successfully passing the quiz and will appear on the certificate for this quiz. This typically has a value of 1, 1.5, or 2.

Course ID Interactive/Live/Simu-live

• This is not a required field
• This will set the Course ID on the certificate for the session when the attendee has passed the quiz after watching the video Live. This will show as "Online Interactive" as a default Course Type on the certificate after the attendee has watched the quiz in the Session Room (accessed through the session lobby, while the session is scheduled to appear at a certain time). This Course ID is often provided by a regulatory board agency.
• This can be the same as the Course ID Enduring/On Demand if the form of viewing does not matter for the credit.

Course ID Enduring/On Demand

• This is not a required field
• This will set the Course ID on the certificate for the session when the attendee has passed the quiz after watching the video On Demand. This will show as "Online Enduring" as a default Course Type on the certificate after the attendee has watched the quiz in the On Demand Player Room (accessed through the On Demand Video section of the event). This Course ID is often provided by a regulatory board agency.
• This can be the same as the Course ID Interactive/Live/Simu-Live if the form of viewing does not matter for the credit.

Due Date

• This is a required field.
• This will set the date the quiz will no longer be valid or available. If you would like it to be available for the full duration of your On Demand please ensure that this field lists the day after the end of your On Demand period.
• Please note that this availability will end at midnight Eastern Time (GMT-5 during Standard Time or GMT-4 during Daylight Time) for the date that is selected.

Quiz Time (Minutes)

• This is not a required field. If it is left blank it will default to 0.
• This will set the amount of time that the attendee must spend on the quiz prior to a successful submission of the quiz.

Allow Only One Attempt

• This is a required field to review, though it does not need to be checked.
• If this checkbox is checked it will limit the number of times that an attendee can attempt to take the quiz. This will prevent the attendee from taking the quiz more than one time.

Online Education Tracker

• This is a required field to review, though it does not need to be checked.
• If this checkbox is checked it will activate an "OE Tracker" field at the start of the quiz. This will allow for an Online Education tracker for your attendee that can appear on the certificate in case the attendee needs to submit the certificate to a certifying body.

Pre-requisite

• This is not a required field.
• If this checkbox is checked it will force the attendee to pass another quiz prior to passing this one. This must be coordinated with your event coach to function.

Show Answers

• This is a required field to review, though it does not need to be checked.
• If this checkbox is checked it will show the attendee the correct answers for all of the questions after they have completed the quiz regardless of if they have passed the quiz or not.

Passed Test Message

• This is a required field to review.
• This field allows you to adjust the messaging that will show once the attendee has passed the quiz by meeting the preset passing score, session minutes, and quiz minutes.

Failed Test Message

• This is a required field to review
• This field allows you to adjust the messaging that will show when an attendee does not meet the passing score set above.

Video Fail Message

• This is a required field to review
• This field allows you to adjust the messaging that will show when an attendee does not meet the Session Minutes set above.

• This field allows you to adjust any messaging that will appear at the start of the quiz.
